But your job in Corporate America is safe
After 30 years in the hotel industry (and a short stint in the elevator industry) so many of my friends and family questioned my decision to take the leap and go out on my own.
"But why would you do that? You have a good job in Corporate America. You make a good salary with good benefits. Your job lets us get employee rates when we travel! You can't let that go!"
Sincerely, all my friends and family
But I wasn't happy. Corporate America has turned into a constant revolving door of new leaders, which made their changes, which had a ripple effect to the work I was doing. Eventually, what I was doing got away from what I loved ... helping hoteliers run great hotels for their guests.
During my exit interview from Corporate America, I told my last VP that in the eight months that my team had been rolled into the new organization, not once did I hear a single leader in the org talk about the hotels, the owners, or the guests. You know, the people who paid our paychecks.
Following My Purpose
I was yearning to get back to my purpose, helping the great people who run hotels and serve their guests be successful. I also wanted to get back to being able to serve guests myself. I found a wonderful franchise coffee house brand, based out of Nashville that aligned perfectly with my core values.
In addition to sharing my 30 years of hospitality expertise, I also walk in the shoes of the owners and mangers that I consult with, every day. I understand the tough labor market, "ghosting" on a scheduled interview, employees who think after 3 days on the job that they should be the manager. I empathize with the bottom line impact the potential $15/hr minimum wage legislation that is looming on the horizon will have. I also analyze the P&L on a monthly basis, just like you, to look for leakage.
We're here for you
If you are overwhelmed and don't know where to start, my team is here to help you. We want YOU to be successful.
